Client Care Assistant Vacancy
New year, New job!
Due to internal staff promotion, we are looking for another team member to join our Client Care team!
The role available involves working on reception and supporting our veterinary team. Whilst no previous experience is required, and training will be given on the job, the successful candidate will need an engaging personality, a ‘can-do’ attitude, and a desire to work with clients and colleagues as much as the animals themselves.
Whilst working in veterinary practice is often very rewarding and enjoyable, it is important that applicants realise that it can also be emotionally challenging at times.
You will be trained in, and expected to contribute to the following tasks;
– Answering the telephone, registering clients and patients, making appointments
– Triaging patient needs and booking appointments on the diary accordingly
– Taking payments, handling cash and cashing up at the end of the day
– Corresponding with clients, suppliers, and other veterinary practices via email and telephone
– Uploading and filing confidential documents
– Dispensing medicines
– Managing, ordering, receiving, and processing pharmacy stock
– Meeting and greeting clients and dealing with the general public
– Maintaining clear communication between vets, nurses and management
Hours available are between 32 and 37 hours a week – to be agreed based on business need. You will also be required to work 1 in 4 Saturday mornings.
The start date for this position would be Monday 15th January 2024, but we can be flexible for the right person.
Alongside working with a great team (if we do say so ourselves 
) and taking care of our lovely clients, you will also be given training towards achieving a diploma of Veterinary Client Care to become a Registered VCCA 
We know that client care roles in veterinary practice are very popular and therefore we expect to receive a significant number of applications. However, we are more interested in recruiting someone with the ‘right personality’ than requiring previous experience within veterinary practice.

College placements
We regret that we are unable to take on any further students who need “work placements” as part of an Animal Care Course as we are currently supporting two student nurses with their courses.
